WI patchwork installed
A wall hanging celebrating 80 years of the Addingham WI (1921-2001) can now be enjoyed in the Community Centre
Jubilee Walled Garden making progress
Work is underway to create a community garden to be enjoyed by everyone. We have repaired the wall, fitted a new gate, pruned the ancient apple trees and planted three new trees to commemorate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. Our new book on sale now
‘Hunsonby & Winskill 2020’ is still available. It is a remarkable record of the villages in 2020 but also includes the history of our villages. £10 a copy, buy two for £15. Contact Bryan Gray, Becci Cook or Julie Ullyart. All profits go to the Centre and Pool.

Our Community Centre is now open!
Work was finally completed at the end of March. The Centre is now available for hire, subject to Covid restrictions. We have held a number of ‘open days’ so that people can see the Centre. Building work update Sept 2020
Work is well underway with the shell of the new extension largely complete. Work is underway inside lining the walls, putting in the new walls in the extension and making the building damp proof.
Hunsonby and Winskill 2020
In the year 2000 an album was produced of residents of the two villages in front of their houses. It is hard to imagine, but this was before the age of digital camera and smartphones. We are delighted to say that we have raised over £300,000 to fully renovate the Community Centre and create a warm, modern space accessible for everyone.
