Rachel Forster, Trustee
I was born and continue to live in Hunsonby with my husband Lee and our children Anna, Frankie and Polly. The countryside and children are my passion which shows both in my work and home life. I enjoy spending time with my family outdoors, floristry and various crafts. I am inspired by our flourishing community and want to support this for my family to grow up in. Rachel was Chair until April 2022.
Bryan Gray, Chair
I was born in Yorkshire, lived for 25 years in Lancashire and now enjoy living in Hunsonby. We bought the former Methodist chapel 15 years ago and love it. It is home to my model of Little Salkeld station. Lydia and I have three sons in Cheshire, Copenhagen and Singapore.
Becci Cook, Trustee
I grew up on a farm at Robberby on the outskirts of Hunsonby. I now live in Winskill, with my husband Nick and two daughters Maddi and Faith. I love spending time with my family, making memories and going on holiday. In my spare time I enjoy walking, catching up with friends and exploring new places. Becci was Treasurer until April 2022.
Julie Ullyart, Secretary
I have been brought up in the Eden valley and have lived in Hunsonby/Winskill for many years, with my husband Steve and son Will along with lots of animals! I enjoy horse riding, spending time with friends and family and going on holiday.
Sally Metcalfe, Trustee
I am a happily married mum of two. I was born in Hunsonby and have had family connections to the village all my life. I have a real love of animals and the countryside. I have many hobbies including needle felting, horse riding, baking and running.
Steve Oliver-Watts, Vice Chair and Treasurer
Originally from Eccles, near Manchester, I moved to Cumbria in 1979, and worked at Newton Rigg College until 2001. My wife Jackie and I moved to Winskill in 1980 and we raised our three children here. We feel very fortunate to live in such a beautiful area. (Steve was elected Vice Chair and Treasurer in 2022.)
Helen Western, Trustee
I grew up on a farm in Winskill then returned to live in the village 8 years ago with my husband and 2 daughters. I am also Treasurer for Hunsonby Swimming Club and have been involved with the pool committee for about 5 years. My husband and I run a small construction business and my spare time involves activities with our daughters, exercise classes, walking our dog, cooking and gardening. (Helen was elected as a trustee at the AGM in 2022.)
