We are delighted to share with you that the main work to refurbish and extend our Community Centre is now complete. We hope you will agree from the images below that the centre has undergone a significant transformation over the last 18 months and whilst we were slightly hampered by COVID-19 our building contract Bowmans have done a wonderful job in creating an environment which we are confident people will love to use and will stand the test of time.
All the changes we have made from the roof, where we are already generating electricity from the newly installed photovoltaic cells, to the newly installed kitchen and bathrooms, have helped us to create a safe, warm, inviting and functional space which we hope will be used and enjoyed for generations to come.
You will see further work to the outside space happening over the next couple of months as the weather improves to create an outside area that lives up to the centre’s new interior. In the meantime if you know of anyone who might be looking to hire a beautiful space once lockdown measures are lifted please mention our centre to them. Also if anyone would like to get involved and help out as part of the community centre committee we would love to hear from you.
Once we understand the rules associated with the lifting of COVID-19 restrictions we plan to hold a series of open days so anyone in our parish who is interested in coming in and have a look safely. We will publish more details of these events on here and on our Facebook page in the coming weeks.
Finally a huge thank you to everyone who has played a part and contributed, helping us to get to this point we could not have done this without the the contribution and effort of our community.
