More than a Village Hall

In 2017 a new committee was formed to develop a project to renovate the Centre and bring it to modern day standards. More on our facilities can be found here. We were fortunate to have some funds which enabled us to develop plans. Following consultation with residents and potential users, we decided on a plan and began fundraising. Over £300,000 has been raised so far through fundraising and grants.

We needed to raise about £300,000 to achieve our ambition of funding our major project to renovate the Community Centre and make it accessible for everyone. We are delighted to say that we have achieved our target. We have raised over £300,000 from donations, grants and local fundraising. This is an amazing achievement for our community of small villages. Lots of people have helped by organizing and attending events, applying for grants and making donations.
